Trainer-in-Training, Presenter/Workshop Leader, and Brainspotting Consultant
I am an integrative psychotherapist helping people for over 30 years using a mind/body holistic approach. I help people integrate within themselves with family, friends and in their community using various traditional and non-traditional modalities. Brainspotting is the most powerful and recent one I bring to the practice(Cynthasis), having studied with Dr. David Grand since 2001.
Brainspotting offers people the opportunity to receive immediate and long lasting relief from trauma, PTSD, accidents, sports performance challenges, chronic illness, OCD, anxiety, depression, grief as well as relationship issues and beliefs which have a negative impact on their lives. It simultaneously helps them connect to internal resources, talents and life skills.
I have been counseling and doing therapy for over 25 years. My license and original training were in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have also trained in various body and brain based emotional healing modalities including Bioenergetics, EMDR(certified) & the Attachment Repair Model. I also have been trained in Art Therapy and in more "traditional" approaches including psychodynamic & developmental psychotherapy, Gestalt , Jungian dreamwork and Developmental Couples Therapy. I currently work with individuals and couples experiencing relationship issues primarily using BSP, ARM individually and adding DCT with couples.
Kathleen, LCSW, has extensive training and experience helping people heal from trauma, and rebuilding lives of meaning and purpose. In addition to her trauma work, she specializes in helping couples move beyond the struggle to create secure and joyful relationships where each is supported in their highest self-expression. She is a psychodramatist, and ordained minister, and brings spontaneity and spirituality into her work as psychotherapist.
